I chose UATX for the rigorous humanities curriculum in the Center for Arts and Letters because I wanted to become a better writer.
My favorite class has been my Ancient Greek language class and I look forward to reading books in Greek this fall!
Through friends and professors at UATX I have found great summer work opportunities. Last summer I worked with a couple friends on a goat farm in Italy and shadowed an archaeologist and a surveyor as we studied the ruins in the surrounding mountains. This summer I am working as an intern on a vineyard in France.
My favorite thing about Austin is my men’s league soccer team that I play with every Sunday south of the city.
