The Office of Legal, Compliance, and Governance helps ensure that UATX operates with integrity and order. The office advises UATX on legal matters, maintains its governing documents, and oversees the policies and processes that guide operations.
UATX favors clear and workable rules—not inherited bureaucracy. Because UATX does not accept federal funds, many federal regulatory regimes that govern other institutions do not apply, allowing UATX to design efficient policies from the ground up while fully complying with applicable law.
Questions about legal matters, policies, or compliance may be directed to compliance@uaustin.org.
Our Constitution
The founding charter of UATX. The Constitution sets out the University’s governing principles and the institutional framework that supports its pursuit of open inquiry and rigorous scholarship.
Institutional Rules
