Economics, Politics, and History

The mission of the Center for Economics, Politics, and History (CEPH) is to produce an integrative and historically informed understanding of politics and economics (what is sometimes referred to as the single discipline of “political economy”).

We study history with the intent to apply it to understand practical problems that arise in economics and politics. Technical ability and analytical knowledge are also integrated in the curriculum.

The Center for Economics, Politics, and History (CEPH) at the University of Austin equips students to understand how governments and businesses deal with core challenges, and empowers them to learn how to deal with challenges they face as students, employees, and citizens. That is why the curriculum must be integrated across three disciplines—economics, history, and political science.
